Quake
This video features the first opus in the Quake series by Id software (Idea's from the Deep).
There's a bunch of quake modiffed engines out there (ezquake, fitzquake fteqw...) But I've choosed to use Darkplaces, as it brings a pretty neat gfx improvement; is kept up to date; doesn't modify the original gameplay.
You may head over to http://icculus.org/twilight/darkplaces to download it; or check your distribution's package manager to install it.
You'll need the original quake 1 files to play it (or the files from the demo).
Then launc it up that way :
darkplaces -basedir -path_to_quake_data_folder-
