Lionel Norfolk Southern Excursion Stationsounds Dome "Summit View" - sounds demo
7I purchased this Lionel Norfolk Southern Excursion Stationsounds Dome Car "Summit View" (item # 1927230) from a hobby shop and I found the sounds loaded into it to be quite unique. So I decided to do a video with a special program @TomixNscale89 is working on and showcase the sounds loaded into it, video was filmed at the San Diego 3-Railers layout. I suspect this isn’t all of the sounds, but we played through each function 2-3 times to have as many play as possible. Below is a list of all the functions we activated, time stamps of the sounds from each function, and how many times they were activated.
00:00 - “Conductor: Next Stop” - 2 times
00:09 - “Conductor: Watch your step” - 3 times
00:56 - “Conductor: All Aboard 2” - 2 times
01:46 - “Conductor: Tickets Please” - 3 times
02:46 - “Conductor: Premature Stop” - 1 time
03:05 - “Steward: Welcome” - 2 times
03:47 - “Steward: First seating now Open” - 2 times
04:33 - “Steward: Second seating now Open” - 3 times
05:17 - “Steward: Lounge now Open” - 2 times
05:57 - “PA System: Train Arriving” - 2 times
06:12 - “PA System: Train Arrived” - 2 times
06:45 - “PA System: Train Boarding” - 2 times
07:16 - “PA System: Train Departing” - 2 times (might be the same sound file twice)
I played “Conductor: Premature stop” 3 times off camera and every time it was the same recording, so looks like only 1 sound file for that one.
TomixNScale’s project is called “OpenCab.” It’s a PC software that allows you to fully control your TMCC and Legacy equipment, but it also allows you access special features the Cab1 or Cab 2 remotes remote doesn’t normally allow you to control, through extra menus. Like the steward sounds of stationsounds cars, which normally can only be activated while the car is in motion in command mode. You can also manually activate all the different warning sound levels (bell and horn), the brake sound effects, and much more.
