San Diego 3 Railers Lionel CitiRail ES44AC action; August 27th, 2022
9Went down to the San Diego 3-Railers on August 27th, and had a good day operating my usual manifest freight train. Both locomotives ran perfectly throughout the day, no issues. During this operating day I decided to try turning the entire train around when switching to the other engine for this video. So the same train will be running in a different direction with the CSX ES44.
You will see my Lionel Southern AC-12 running around in the background; I brought it with me that day to give it a good test after coming back from service earlier that week. I found the traction tires to be contacting the brake pad details, so I had to bend those to add more clearance. But I ended up removing the brake pad details off the second set of drivers (the ones on the wheelset that had the traction tires).
