Full disclaimer, I've never watched 'American Psycho' (2000) before, so I really don't understand why people like Patrick Bateman (played by Christian Bale) so much. Is it because people compare him to The Joker (played by The Joker(from the Movie 'Joker' (2019))) or something? Or do people compare him to that guy in the film 'Blade Runner 2049' played by Ryan "Ken from the Barbie (2023) Movie" Gosling who's just so done with life?
(I've also never watched 'Blade Runner 2049' before)
Personally, I would never be able to watch films like American Psycho (2000), Joker (2019), Blade Runner 2049 (2017), because those Movies have been completely ruined by the Internet who takes jokes way too far or reusing the same jokes/quotable lines to the point where it's lost all meaning, and fully grown Men that personify themselves as these...Men.
Basically just the "He's literally Me" kind of "Men" (You know who you are).
Also, we live in a Civilization.
