Little Nightmares [Part 4] The End of A Journey [DLC END] [FINAL]
0Despite all the connection issues this part I really enjoyed the ending! Feels a little weird to talk here like its the end since I'm gonna be directly jumping into II (today as I type this) so it just feels like im continuing the same game I've been playing but I'll try to type down my general thoughts for this game and DLC here regardless.
Little Nightmares is a neat short and sweet game. It doesn't linger around for too long, gives just enough for you to enjoy thoroughly and encourage multiple playthroughs. I'm a bit down I didn't get all the collectables but I set out with this game to just enjoy it. I may be a 100% enthusiast but I think watching someone scour over a guide isn't very fun. And I know I do that with other games like Oxenfree because well, i'm a completionist at heart so I... like to have a little variety in how I present games to people, and Little Nightmares was a game I watched before through Kizuna Ai so I thought it was a good fit since it's a short and sweet game. This game reminds me of Luigis Mansion in a few ways like, game design wise. I know theyre very different games but they kinda function with the same philosophy in my head. It feels like a game I can come back to in like a year and 100% on my own and have fun and maybe go back in two years doing the same thing, like how I feel with Luigis Mansion, is what I mean.
I loved the movement of this game and the sound design is really good! The AI can be a little wonky or frustrating sometimes, but more often than not I feel like my deaths were deserved, and my victories in solving a puzzle were sweet. I especially really liked the DLC levels, especially the Dorito Boys chapter. I think I saw Kizuna Ai play the DLC too (or maybe someone else idk) cause I had vague memories of collecting coal (wheres dylan) with the dorito boys. but my memory of it was very vague so it wound up becoming my favorite part. I love those boys. And The ending especially I really liked seeing how it really connected a lot of the DLC with the main game and explained well.. why the dorito boys are dorito boys. I think I'm just a dorito fan. Gonna go eat some Doritos now. Hope you enjoy Little Nightmares II too!
