Call of Duty has already revealed that MW2 content will carry over to Modern Warfare 3, but many players are wondering what exactly they can access in the new game, so hereβs everything to know about MW2 items like weapons, bundles, Operators, camos, and more being carried over to MW3.
All MW2 items will be carrying over to Modern Warfare 3
Every MW2 weapon that you unlocked from Levels 1 to 55 will carry over to Modern Warfare 3, maintaining both their level and progress status, including all unlocks and attachments.
MW2 Base Operators must be unlocked through MW2 via specific challenges (like Campaign or Spec Ops modes) and will only be available in Modern Warfare 3 if you unlocked skins for them, as these skins will carry forward.
Fortunately for many players, all MW2 camos will be available in Modern Warfare 3. In addition to this, you can use every MW2 camo aside from the Completionist camos with all MW3 weapons.
One of the biggest concerns players have every year when a new title is released is the availability of the camos theyβd grind for months to unlock, so this news will certainly be greeted with enthusiasm. In addition, players will also have the opportunity to unlock new camos, since Modern Warfare 3 will have its own camo roster and weapons to unlock.
Another big addition to the content being carried over is the Season 6 Battle Pass, which means that players will be able to resume their progress within Modern Warfare 3 and gain XP Tokens and rewards. Also, every item you unlocked or earned while playing the MW3 beta or watching Twitch streams that granted drops will be carried over.
Players should note that if content like a tactical vehicle or specific lethal or tactical equipment isnβt available in Modern Warfare 3, the unlocked items from MW2 will not be available.
Modern Warfare 3 is already underway and players are enjoying all the content within the game, including completing Weekly Challenges with MW3 weapons to level up through the Ranks, the return of slide canceling, the first-ever Zombies mode for the MW saga, and more.
Players attempting to unlock items through the Armory system have noticed that the sole requirement is the completion of Daily Challenges. Itβs worth noting that you can only finish three challenges daily. Fortunately, an extra Bonus Challenge will become available, enabling you to continue progressing by winning matches.

Modern Warfare 3βs Armory Unlock Challenge is a brand-new system that gives players a new way to secure and unlock items by completing Daily Challenges. This new system will allow players to βunlock the Weapons, Equipment, Perks, Killstreaks, and Attachments that they want to utilize.β The Armory Unlock is set to shake how players can unlock items within the game, as items inside it will only be unlockable through Daily Challenges, and not by leveling up like the traditional system had.
In order to unlock an item, players will have to activate an βArmory Unlock Challenge,β and complete the amount of Daily Challenges required. Each completed challenge contributes a point towards your ongoing Armory Unlock Challenge. Players can use the classic CoD method for items that arenβt included in the Armory Unlock system.
When you successfully finish all of your Daily Challenges, you gain access to a unique bonus challenge specific to the game mode youβre playing. These bonus challenges can be completed repeatedly and will vary depending on the chosen mode.
Keep in mind that if you decide to switch, your active Armory Unlock Challenges progress will be preserved.
How to access MW3 Armory Unlock Challenge System
Upon reaching Level 25 in MW3, the Armory Unlock Challenge System becomes accessible, enabling you to advance by tackling Daily Challenges and obtaining new items. The Armory Unlock Challenge menu offers a range of items that you can acquire through these challenges, including weapons, attachments, Equipment, and more.
Ensure that your weapons are fully leveled up and all Equipment is unlocked to boost the speedy and painless completion of Daily Challenges.
