19I'm playing Half-Life for the first time — a classic 1998 first-person shooter developed by Valve Corporation and published by Sierra Studios for Microsoft Windows. This was Valve's debut game and the first entry in the now-iconic Half-Life series.
In the game, you take on the role of Gordon Freeman, a theoretical physicist working at the secretive Black Mesa Research Facility. During a routine experiment, a disaster known as the "resonance cascade" opens a portal to another dimension, unleashing alien creatures throughout the facility. As Gordon, we must navigate the chaos, battling both alien threats and government soldiers sent in to cover up the incident — including eliminating witnesses like us.
