0As far as 1st gen ps1 releases go, My thoughts on this 1996 game have remained consistent since spring 2009: the music is brain-smashing brilliance, the pre-rendered graphics are cleaner than they should be at their age and the table themes remain original and mostly unimitated. points go to 'law n justice' which is equal parts 2000AD and 80s Robocop.
It's actually a remake of the 1995 Amiga CD32 game Pinball illusions, which updates the graphics, adds multiple table views and expands the original 3 tables to 4... ironically the CD32 game uses .mod music despite being on a CD, which means True pinball updates the sound as well to Redbook standard... yes you can play this games awesome music in your car's cd player :)
