LML Music Matchup: The Black Crowes "Jealous Again" VERSUS Gretchen Wilson "Work Hard, Play Harder"
In this music matchup, Mark compares The Black Crowes "Jealous Again" off their CLASSIC album "Shake Your Money Maker" to Gretchen Wilson's "Work Hard, Play Harder."
In 2008, The Black Crowes sued Gretchen Wilson over "Work Hard, Play Harder," claiming she and her label infringed on their copyright for "Jealous Again." Gretchen Wilson, Sony, et al. eventually settled the lawsuit, playing the Robinson brothers an undisclosed amount of money and crediting them as songwriters on "Work Hard, Play Harder."
So Mark wants to get to the bottom of it. Is this another issue of the courts being way too protective and stifling music creativity, or is there some merit to this case? Come help Mark decide.
