You’d be surprised about the kinds of things people don’t understand in nerdier circles. This is one of them.

Here’s a short, and kind of self-indulgent, video giving a basic explanation of what localization is (and is not), and why it’s such a pain sometimes. This isn’t about any specific work or anything, but I do talk extensively about EarthBound, Rammstein’s “Du hast,” and Yu-Gi-Oh!, among some others.
