Logitech Shifter Throttle Mod for PC Demo (Multicade & Arcade 1Up) - H2Overdrive
9Here's a another demo vid of a modded Logitech Driving Force Shifter to use as a hand throttle for games like Hydro Thunder and H2Overdrive
The original arcade cabinets of Hydro Thunder and it's unofficial sequel H2Overdrive share a similar hand throttle control system with a boost button over the thumb for a unique one handed steering/one handed throttle control positioning. I tried to recreate that feeling instead of resorting to the foot pedals which is more suited for car racing games, and bring more of the authentic arcade experience closer to home.
The steering wheel is a Logitech G920 with the Logitech Driving Force Shifter. Components such as the shifter knob have been changed and modifications inside the shifter housing have been performed - this will void your warranty, so I don't recommend it if you're concerned about warranty service as it's a mod.
I'll be doing more vids on this including the details and parts required for this mod. They're all easy to find and I wouldn't consider the mod itself overly difficult. I've heard people wanting to play Hydro Thunder on their multicade cabinets and Arcade 1ups in more traditional form, so hopefully this might be an option or give some ideas.
