This is the longplay of the game Contra: The Alien Wars, an action, run and gun and platform game. This game was released in 1994 in the United States and Japan in 1994 and in Europe in 1995. This is a simplified version of Contra III: The Alien Wars for the Game Boy handheld console. Unlike most games in the Contra series, this one was developed by Factor 5 and Konami just published the game.

The game is mostly identical to the Super NES version but features some differences: there is no ability to swap weapons, and there is no spinning attack. In this port, the level structure has been altered in some stages, with some areas having been either slightly changed or shortened.

It's a pretty competent port and the developers were able to faithfully include the stages seen above. The game doesn't have the existing laser gun or the missile stage like SNES version, but the whole set is very well done. The game features Super Game Boy support, which provides a custom color scheme and enhanced sound effects.
