This is the longplay of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, action, platform and RPG game released for the NES, produced and distributed by Nintendo, being the second game in The Legend of Zelda series and a direct continuation of the previous game. This game was released in 1987 in Japan and in 1988 in the United States and Europe.

The plot of Zelda II is much more elaborate than that of its predecessor, more elaborate and very complex. The story goes like this: the Kingdom of Hyrule was a happy place, ruled by a King who had the Triforce by his side. However, one day this old King passed away and the Triforce was left for his children (a boy and a girl). Only Princess Zelda was trusted with the Truth. The man son became the new king and gained his Triforce, but it was incomplete. Suddenly, a sorcerer, who until then was loyal to the royal family, appears and says that the whereabouts of the last part of the Triforce were with Zelda. The king and the sorcerer confront Zelda, who swore she would never give up the Truth. Faced with this refusal, the sorcerer attacks Zelda.

At that moment, the current king and Zelda's brother tries to stop the sorcerer from attacking, but Zelda is hit by the spell and falls into a deep sleep, at the same time the sorcerer dies. The king, filled with remorse and unable to reverse the spell, had his sister placed in the castle tower, hoping that one day she would be awakened. The king entrusted the Sheikans with the mission of protecting Zelda, waiting for the day when she would free herself from the curse and wake up from her deep sleep and in addition, he also signed a decree saying that princesses born to the royal family from that moment on would be called Zelda, in memory of this tragedy.

Several years after the events of The Legend of Zelda, the hero Link notices a strange mark on the back of his left hand, just like the symbol of Hyrule. He seeks out Impa, who takes him to the Castle of the North, where a door has been magically closed for generations. Impa places the back of Link's left hand on the door, and it opens, revealing a sleeping maiden. Impa tells Link that the maiden is Zelda (not Zelda from the first game), the princess of Hyrule from long ago, and the origin of the "Legend of Zelda". Impa then gives Link a chest containing six crystals and ancient writings that only a great future king of Hyrule can read. Link discovers that he can read the document, even though he has never seen the language before: this document indicates that the crystals are to be placed in statues in six palaces scattered throughout the kingdom of Hyrule. This will open the way to the Grand Palace, which contains the Triforce of Courage.

Only the power of the Triforces combined can awaken Zelda. Meanwhile, Ganon's followers want to destroy Link and throw his blood on Ganon's ashes to bring him back to life. Link will have to face several dangerous enemies to awaken Princess Zelda and prevent Ganon's resurrection.

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link is a game with side-scrolling and platforming elements. Link uses his sword (both short and long range), shield and also spells, in addition to accumulating experience points to evolve three attributes: Attack Strength, Life Energy and Magic Power. You gather experience and when you reach the limit of one of the attributes, the player can choose to improve the attribute or cancel and save the experience to improve an attribute that requires more points.

This title is often considered "the black sheep" of the series. The Adventure of Link is without a doubt the hardest Zelda game to date according to most fans of the series. One of these challenges was the aspect of introducing a "lives system" that further made the game frustrating when Link ran out of lives and was forced to return to the starting area, having to traverse across Hyrule and back into the treacherous dungeons where they fell .

The game was a critical and financial success, and introduced elements such as Link's "magic meter" and the Dark Link character that would become commonplace in future Zelda games, although the role-playing elements, such as experience points and limited lives have not been used since in canonical games.
The video was made by getting all the items in the game. Hope you like it.
