This is the longplay of the game New Super Mario Bros, electronic platform game published and developed by Nintendo for Nintendo DS. It was released in North America and Japan in May 2006, Australia and Europe in June of the same year and in March 2007 in South Korea.
He was the first original 2D platform game starring Mario since Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins in 1992, and the first to be part of the main Mario series since Super Mario Sunshine in 2002.

At the beginning of the game, Princess Peach and Mario are walking together when suddenly a black cloud forms over Peach Castle and lightning strikes its roof. Mario runs to the castle to check the situation, which gives time to Bowser Jr. to appear and kidnap Peach. Realizing what happened, Mario quickly returns and runs after the two and, thus, travels his way among eight worlds chasing Bowser Jr. and trying to rescue the princess. He manages to reach them and occasionally faces Bowser Jr., but is unable to save the princess in time from the clutches of Koopa. At the end of the first world, Bowser Jr. hides in a castle where his father, Bowser, waits for his rival in a suspension bridge over a lava-filled chasm. In a scene reminiscent of the first Super Mario Bros., Mario activates a button located behind Bowser and the bridge collapses, resulting in the latter being thrown into the lava and dying, with its flesh being consumed and leaving a skeleton that later , was called Dry Bowser.

While New Super Mario Bros. is seen in 2D, some of the characters and objects are rendered in polygonal 3D graphics in dimensional backgrounds, resulting in the 2.5D effect, which simulates visually three-dimensional graphics. You can play with Mario or your brother, Luigi and, similarly to previous games in the series, you can collect coins, jump on enemies and break open blocks. Gameplay elements of three-dimensional titles of the franchise reappear, along with movements like "crushing" (with which the character jumps and takes momentum in the air to crush what is down), the triple jump and the rebound on the wall. Enemies from previous games, such as Petey Piranha, were also reintroduced to the series. It is undoubtedly an excellent game with the quality of the Mario Bros series and that has united the classic and the modern without losing its essence.
