This is the longplay of the game Shinseiki GPX Cyber Formula (新 世紀 GPX サ イ バ ー フ ォ ー ミ ュ ラ, Future GPX: Cyber Formula), racing game released in 1992 to Japan, for the Super Famicom, and North America, by its localized name Cyber Spin, for the Super NES. It has the proper license to use the characters from the anime.

This game is based on the anime of the same name and follows the history of the anime, which focuses on the two elements and their interaction and growth: the cybernetic system called Asurada and its driver named Hayato Kazami, protagonist of the story and son of the designer of Asurada.

Asurada was originally developed secretly by MissingLink (interesting name in itself - history has never explicitly stated this fact, but a closer look justifies this implication). Hayato's father, Hiroyuki Kazami, hoped to design the best cybernetic system in the world to build a better racing machine, which was a dream shared with his friends: Kojiro Sugo (the driver, who would later become the owner of the Sugo team) and Tetsuichiro Kurumada (the mechanic, later to become the manager of the Sugo team). When Asurada, the cybernetic system, was almost complete, Kazami realized that Smith, a senior executive at Missinglink, wanted to sell Asurada to military personnel at a huge profit and make Asurada the most advanced AI in war machines. To avoid Smith's plan, Kazami installed Asurada on an Asurada GSX prototype racing machine with sophisticated encryption (meaning Asurada would not work without the Asurada GSX) and contacted Sugo for the Asurada GSX to participate in the 10th Grand Prix of Cyber Formula. And Hayato Kazami will drive Asurada's car in this Grand Prix.

The game uses a top-down perspective and was designed in the same technique as classic arcade racing games. There is the test race (where you run alone and need to qualify in good time) and the race against other competitors. This Japanese version of the game has a lot of history and is much better than the terrible American version of Cyber Spin (which only has races and no history). There are good songs in this game, which is based on an excellent anime. It is not an epic game, but it has one quality or another. The game is all in Japanese because there is still no person who has translated it into English (when that happens, I record another video of this game).
Hope you like it.
