If you host board game nights, consider putting Lords of Conquest on the big screen. It's a great way to introduce the young ones to 8-bit fun.

There wasn't a chance to talk about single player vs. the AI. On the full version of the game (aka "expert" level) the AI is quite challenging. It will compute its move for up to two minutes (no doubt some static-evaluation-function-based mini-max tree going on), but you can press the fire button to stop its thinking and force it to move.
