Part 2 of my 100% playthrough of Hyrule Warriors Legends (Lorule Map) on the Nintendo 3DS.

With our first "real" item card obtained and the corresponding tutorial read, now seems like a good time to talk more about the Ravio Board. In a nutshell, it works as a dynamic system for recommended elements. On this map, each item card has a special effect on top of their normal usage, known as Nice Powers, that will activate on the board once used. All but two item types will add recommended elements to stages (two items per each element), while the Bomb will increase the amount of Rupees gained and the Hammer will provide a buff to the attack power. As you may suspect, these bonuses are applied map-wide: all squares will be equally affected by them.

Nice Powers will stay on the map as long as they're active on the board, and it's possible to use an item outside of their normal spots just to activate their corresponding bonus. Two different perks can be active at the same time, but only one of the same effect can be present on the board. Using an item with the same Nice Power as one already active will simply have no impact on the Ravio Board. Finally, once a third perk gets activated, the board will completely reset to accomodate for the new bonus.

Outside of all these technicalities, we get the opportunity to try out Yuga's moveset, and we also discover our first fissure of the map. While it's tempting to jump to the dark world right now, there are still a few things we should grab on this side first, so we won't use the portal right away. Don't worry though: we'll come back for it soon enough!
