Lost Ark - Gunlancer Support gameplay immensely refined for Valtan Hard (solo berserk...again)
Failed attempts for Gate 2 were excluded from the video. Actual raid time was ~50 minutes. Description for how I play him in the Valtan raid is after the times below.
I swear I have to solo berserk Valtan every other week ever since the first Hyper Express, and it happens in lobbies with roster level 150+ or players over 1475 ilvl too.

GATE 1 Examples of specific use cases for support skills:
01:18 Taunt to cancel AoE knockup attack
01:21 Nelasia's to block "unavoidable" damage for party
01:45 Nelasia's because party might greed DPS during an AoE
04:00 Awakening for DR, push immunity and Nelasia's to block explosion damage
05:44 Nelasia's for party members greeding before transition to purple wolf (also blocking projectiles from being planted in the outer part of the arena)
06:42 Awakening+Nelasia's+Battlefield Shield (damage determined too high to absorb with only one shield)
07:48 Shield Bash early on purpose because main stagger damage is 2nd cast, followed by Bash for 100-0 stagger check. A team should never need a Whirlwind Grenade for this.
GATE 1 general approach:
1. If DPS is greeding, shield before boss attacks occur
2. When the wolves aren't taking stagger damage and are doing the double swipe attack, they are about to use the explosion/green flame/freeze attack. These should be countered with Awakening+Nelasia's or Awakening+Battlefield Shield. This always happens when Red wolf switches with Blue wolf and when Blue wolf switches with Purple wolf.
3. You should be in orb position 1 or 2 because your stagger skills are some of the highest in the game with very low cooldowns at 1500+ swiftness and Dominion effect. You can use them twice during the stagger check.
GATE 2 general approach:
1. Awakening with Dominion for CDR at the start. You never know if Fire Bullet fails to reset twice in a row.
2. Stagger as much as possible if you are not the target for his charge attack that drops the blue orbs. That stagger damage that accumulates can allow you to stagger him before the Balthorr part.
3. Fire Bullet with Weak Point lvl +1 and Lucky Chance means you should throw a Corrosive Bomb instead of a Destruction Bomb to maintain high weak point damage and break the armor twice before Valtan's first jump (you aren't a DPS, then no point of DPS tripods)
4. Lance Awakening when Valtan is staggered or using scripted attacks where he stands in place for extended periods of time.
5. Battlefield Shield is much more difficult to use in Gate 2 and shouold only be used if you are confident in blocking damage for a party member and they cannot escape a high-damaging AoE.
6. You should be countering in situations more dangerous for others who don't have Paralysis or Push Immunity.
7. Counter Gunlance is a get-out-of-jail skill when your shield is low, not active, or when you are unable to get away from an attack. Primarily important for if you have to solo in Ghost phase.
8. Shield Shock and Shield Bash are primary means of maintaining high shield with their damage reduction tripods. Most useful during berserk.
9. You should never stand next to Valtan during his counterattack stance. People might point fingers at you if it's triggered by someone else.
10. You should be countering every Ghost as your cooldowns and double counter skills allows you to.
