Lost Ark Review by WoW Players - Overhyped?! - First Impression

Good day everyone, in yesterdays Livestream we went into the world of Lost Ark for the very first time and i want to share my honest opinion on that game with you. Obviously you can check our live reactions by just simply rewatching the livestream.

So lets get into it. First of the Graphics - They were absolutely stunning the first time i opened the game and saw the character loading screen i was baffled at the animated character selection screen. This is an absolute 5/5 right here.

The next part is the Character Customization. I was kinda confused that there was no option to swap between male and female in certain classes which i think is a bit weird nowadays. Aside from that there is a huge variety on what you can customize and i really liked that. Another option that was pretty new to me was the fact that you can make saved customizations and then swap between those if you want to. I would say 4/5 because you cant change the gender

Tutorial or rather beginner friendliness. At first I was pretty overwhelmed by all the skills you get instantly - I would have prefered a more seperated skill showcase for example which skill would be best in which scenario or something like that. Anyway the tutorial was pretty easy to follow through and after reading what skill did and memorizing the keybinds it was pretty easy to do. I would give that a 3/5 because i personally got kinda confused on what to do at the beginning.

Gearing. This got me thinking: why does the starting equipment start at level 50? like for real why shouldnt a level 1 character start with level 1 gear and progress from that? From the beginning i got rare items right away which makes me think if they are not worth that much and if there are epics or legendarys that drop like candy in the end game. 3/5 from my point of view.

Power Progression. Straight from the beginning i felt completely overpowered - which is not bad at all for beginners so they dont get dishearted right from the beginning.

But I think its getting harder the higher you want to progress further in the game, so im pretty excited for that. 4/5 at this point after 3 hours of playing the game

Gameplay and Mechanics. The very first time i played the game i felt super restricted because i was so used to a free angle camera that i can turn wherever i want, So it took time to get used to all that, but once i got the gist of how to use and the keybinds it felt pretty good knowing what you did. The enemy mechanics are pretty easy at my current character level its just moving out of red area of effect skills and getting a distance between you and the enemy and just using ranged aoe skills to mow down the enemies. 4/5 on this category.

This sums up to 23 out of 30 points so in total a really solid game that i want to see more of.
