(Sorry my voice recording can be a bit too "oversaturated" at times. Got a number of sound-tech issues I can't really fix. :-/)

As the inspiration died down, combined with decreased time and practicality as well as drastic alterations to the story itself, Metroid: Chapter Ωmega gradually got tucked away in the corner. From the same version I released on my channel, which included perhaps my finest work--the first part, Tenebrae (https://youtu.be/UjqfzIJA62Q)--I had yet one further section I was truly, very proud of, which is this excerpt from the fifth part ("Phasma," Latin for "ghost").

For context, beforehand, Samus discovers and investigates the very interdimensional ripple from whence the villain emerged in part one; on the other end, she finds absolutely nothing--it's a complete void. In the previous part, it is revealed that the same poor souls who met their end at the hands of the aforementioned villain were Emera's very own parents.
While all of this is transpiring, Aram is searching for Samus. To begin, he travels to Tallon IV, which he finds has suffered drastic climate and tectonic changes, causing the once hospitable planet to devolve into an inferno; this was a result of Zebes's destruction since the two planets, the largest in their system, possessed intersecting orbits, and Tallon IV happened to be closer to their sun at the time, and the sudden shift in gravity caused a snapping-rubber-band effect, causing the planet to drift closer to its star.
But as Aram approaches Tallon IV, the lethal, antimatter biomorphs--dubbed the Apollyon--attack him, critically damaging his ship. Aram jettisons the ship's escape pod, but he soon finds he'll have to escape that too as the pod is headed directly toward a lake of lava on the planet's surface. It is here the excerpt begins.

I didn't make the audio as elaborate as I did with the first three parts on my channel, although I did add a number of atmospheric sound effects to make the planet audibly come to life. I also used one of my favorite Metroid covers, "A Familiar Path," by Sean Haeberman (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTDhNCVVCZs&t=191s), which was a remix of "Alinos Depths" from the Metroid Prime: Hunters soundtrack (Alinos being another once-beautiful-turned-volcanic planet). It wasn't long after I first heard the track that it made this excerpt come to life in my mind.

Even though I discontinued the project (at least in its previous form), I hope you really enjoy this little section from a lost part of Metroid: Chapter Ωmega!
