[LOST] Metroid Inception - Dark Aether is Collapsing (Inception Style)
0This was another Metroid Montage video I made something like 4-5 years ago but couldn't upload to my channel since the copyright restrictions on using the Inception soundtrack in particular were such that the video would be muted, so it was locked away with special access via link in description to Google Drive. However, they have finally lessened the harshness of those restrictions, and so it is back on the channel!!
About the video: Inception is easily in my Top 10 films, and of course a theme throughout is the concept of dreams--building them and collapsing them, and Hans Zimmer naturally inexpendably aided in fleshing out the atmosphere therein. The music used in this video was labeled the "long version" of the piece, "The Dream is Collapsing," although it's really a medley of various songs from the soundtrack. Considering the nightmare that is Dark Aether in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, it was only appropriate to use this track in the background as Samus travels between both Aether and Dark Aether, reclaiming planetary energy from the dark dimension and returning it to the light world, which eventually leads to the very collapse of Dark Aether.
