We've got a casting couch update from The Hobbit coming right up on Clevver Movies!
Hey there, I'm Tatiana Diana with Clevver Movies and Ive got the latest on The Hobbit.
According to Peter Jackson's latest Facebook posting, there are some updates to The Hobbit's cast roster!
Evangeline Lilly, known best from Lost, will be playing a new character, Tauriel, the woodland elf. While Jackson's lips are sealed as to exactly what Lily's character will be up to in the flick, but assures us there will be no romance between her and Orlando Bloom's character "Legolas." He went on to say "what is not a secret is how compelling an actress Evangeline is. We are thrilled and excited to she will be the one to bring our first true Sylvan Elf to life."
Another cast mate Jackson shares his excitement about is Barry Humpries who will play the Goblin King.
With these 2 new additions, plus Luke Evans as Bard and Benedict Cumberbatch as Smaug, this couch is filled with an all star cast!
The Hobbit films will be released in December 2012 and December 2013. They're being co-produced by New Line Cinema and MGM.
