There really isn't a wrong answer on the best race to play in Lord of the Rings Online, but my money is always on the hobbits as my favorite of the races. It's all about the FEEL of the Shire. The lived-in nature of it. They did an exceptional job building this MMORPG so that the hobbits really feel like they are a part of the Shire and Middle Earth, and for me, it comes down to that.

While there really isn't any reason to roll another race when you play LOTRO, I'm always going to vote for the hobbit to be your race of choice. The Shire is already an amazing place to roam around during your early years as an adventurer, and being kin to the other halflings running around is just too awesome of a roleplay opportunity to pass up.
