Yes, this is PAL.

Requires the feather.
(Or any sort of knock back)
Green Link must carry an item.
Jump with any other Link / get knock back and hold C-button for desired formation.


While performing this trick, following effects occur:
- Any Link that carries an item becomes invincible
Note: This depends on the damage type. In case of the flames, all Links must carry an item to be invincible. For the mid boss, one pot was enough.
- Any Link carrying no item has partially broken movement animations, like "sliding" instead of walking when charging the spin attack
- You cannot jump
- You cannot trigger certain loading zones (like loading a new floor, probably when the screen blacks out), it is still possible to enter rooms on the same floor.
- You cannot use keys to open doors.
- You cannot activate ground switches (those you stand on)
- You cannot collect force by simply walking over them, slashing your sword however works
- You cannot switch secondary items (Bombs, Feather, Boomerang,....)
- Switches near a Link carrying an item are automatically hit
- You cannot talk to NPC
- While carrying a moon pearl, you cannot open a portal with it
- You cannot enter a portal
- While all Links without an item are pushing against a wall, you can stack them
- Turning by 180 degree leaves dust on the floor, similar to when you jump and then touch the ground again.
This gives the idea that the Links are stuck in that animation.

(Following might be PAL only? Note: You cannot switch Links when jumping or falling down holes etc. on PAL. At least I could not do it lol)
- You cannot change formations.
- You cannot switch Links.

If the item is no longer carried, the said effects end immediately.
(Thrown away, dropping, destroyed be damage source like bombs, falling down holes, etc)
