This takes the knowledge gained from "Interrupted Cutscene Script" to something further; also, I figured out when it sometimes does not glitch around.
BTW: Holding down F10 / F11 works aswell, so it is better than mashing.
So, when the map academy1 is loading, hold down F10 or F11. This should result in displaying the menu screen normally. If you push the F key too early, ergo when the Jedi Academy Screen is visible, it will mostly end up glitching and freezing the CS.
So, now we are in the menu. But as already said, you cannot save since you are watching a CS. But, the trick here is to change the graphic resolution (or anything else that requires a restart) to force a restart. As you can see, I actually do not change the resolution, but the apply button appears nonetheless and lets me reload.
While reloading, hold down F10 / F11 to reproduce the glitch. You should end up in the menu again, but this time you are able to save. Since you can always load files, you can just load the save file and BOOOM.
Now, the CS does not freeze, rather it is played normally, but you have still control over your character. You can move around freely, but you have no weapons (even though you hold your lightsaber in your hand!) and almost no force powers so all you can do is messing around with the NPC and watching all the stuff that you usually are not able to see.
Killing any NPC wouldn't do any good either way, because all that could happen is interrupting the CS script because the NPC are dead and cannot execute the commands, lol.
EDIT: tried it again, and this time I got an error: "ERROR: attempted to redundantly load world map".
uh, what? #NeverHappenedBefore
Seriously though, it just happened once.
Also, not sure if this knowledge will be ever useful for a speedrun, but who knows? Understanding how the game works is always helpful.
Gotta check that for other maps.
