LoZ FSA - OoB-less Bow Skip in 2-3
Improved(??) version of Z's bow skip:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnNmlkKih4s
The obvious improvement is that you don't need OoB anymore, which adds some consistency.
Instead, you use the phenomenon that's been already used in Bow Skip:
While reuniting with C, the Links can "walk" over pits.
The exact process of positioning is more complex than one might think, but I am not going to go into detail here.
So, to avoid using OoB I position purple Link on the vertical you are supposed to shoot through with the bow.
Just place the links as shown in the video, then move green below that switch and reunite.
Press X to drop purple on the door opening. This requires timing, but is easy after a few tries. You also want to move purple to the upmost tile there.
This is necessary to get a good angle. I also want only purple there; if you have blue there too, the reuniting will be affected.
Then, I use Green as "reuniter" and position him on the upmost tile that is available.
If there had been ONE tile more in upper direction, this skip would have been sooooooooo easy.
But no.
Anyways, now comes the rather difficult part.
Once again, those statues get in our way. Without those, Z's Bow Skip would have been a piece of cake, really.
You want to reunite (I did with C-right) and then jump slash to gain forwards momentum so you can reach the platform and then press X to interrupt the reuniting.
The timing of the JS is crucial.
Execute it too early and you'll drag all Links into the pit
(this might be useful, but I couldn't accomplish anything with it so far),
or you crash into the statue (those fcking statues dude),
but do it too late and you already hit the wall which let Purple respawn next to Green.
TL;DR
- place Links next to the pots, press X.
- move Green under that switch, reunite, press X to drop Purple on the opening
- move purple to the upmost position
- move Green to the upmost tile on the right side, face the left wall
- reunite with C-right
- Jump slash and mash X
For the JS timing, I orientate myself on the "invisible vertical line" that starts at the second statue, if that makes sense.
Or:
Defining the horizontal as X-axis, you want to JS as soon as Purple's and the 2nd statue's X coordinate match.
I guess.
