So, this skips the last key in 8-3. After you received the 2nd key from killing the cyclops, you just open the door, then return to the "main" room with the 4 Portals.
There, you want to position Green at the right edge of the door, close to the trigger for the screen transition upwards, then switch to Purple and grab a bomb.
Immediately switch to Green, enter the next screen, press X to select Green, roll up three times and then start to dash while moving diagonally to the left.
On the next screen you want to select Green again, then dash diagonally to the left, but press L to reunite right after so Purple(and the bomb!) is close to Green.
As soon as you reach the pit, you want to drop down so Purple will throw the bomb away.
This adds momentum to the bomb and is crucial.
Well, every single step is crucial.
This trick is very tight, no errors are allowed.

Since this skips the 200 Gem chest in the WW room, we need to adjust the Gem route. I suggest getting Gems at the beginning, shouldn't be too much of a time loss.
And I guess you still want to grab the heartcontainer in the GBA section.
