This route is already old by now, we are grabbing the bow and bombs (early).
Ultimately, the new route saves quite some time compared to the old one with the feather.

Here is my route for the feather-less Tower of Flames.
This is totally IL material....

Having the boomerang in the Shadow Link Battle is really convenient, this route makes the fight actually a lot easier!

A few notes:
0:18 You want to step on both switches to get 150 (instead of only 100) gems here. Timing and movement is pretty tight.

0:29 Getting the gems here is necessary, but very RNG based.

1:05 The first gap skip. Messing this up will waste some time...

1:24 I position Green there to do a GaSaG later.

1:43 Might as well use the boomerang.

1:52 I open the door, then reunite with C-Up so I can get invincibility frames for the boss fight.

1:57 A precise hit with all 4 spin attacks can instakill the boss. If not, have fun.

2:02 Entering with purple, so I can C-Right and immediately press X to gain a consecutive chain of invisibility frames on the next screen. Sometimes it does not work.

2:28 Throwing a Link here to grab the floating 100.

3:23 getting the necessary gems here (~1700). There are 20 in the chest, about 35 on the way to the Dodongo screen, and if it cannot be helped, next to the Goron are 100 in the chest.
