I remember many people asking for Future Gohan with one arm as a Dokkan Unit, now we have two LR's of this version of Future Gohan. But I still want to make one more What-If for Future Gohan.

The What-If was a last addition to this animation, originally it was not planned during the making for some of the animations, but I decided that this would be the "moment" in the Dokkan Animation.

In this animation, I simply applied more of the Dokkan Basics to fit the modern animations. However to keep the sprites consistent, I edited most of the sprites to fit the more updated sprite model. The animation features many fade transitions, which are easy to make, but adjusting the timing is one major thing to consider.

Working without Camera Tool:
The Super Attacks were mainly a focus for me to apply the camera in ways that does not use the camera feature. Kind of strange, but it's working with pre shaking symbol assets or parenting layers to layers that would shake. In conclusion, I feel like parenting layers seems like the most efficient, but the camera shakes would only work if you do not tween at first. Otherwise it kinda breaks the animation if you parent after tweening. However, creating pre-animations for onomatopoeia (text sound effects) is the best way, so it's more of planning what you need to apply to certain actions.

Active Skill:
This animation features some changes to the original animation, where instead of featuring just Goku and Piccolo, I wanted to feature the Z-Warriors as a whole helping Gohan. This is where the What-If comes in with Trunks as "Gohan's Hope". As such, the custom animation is where Gohan and Trunks briefly surpass their limits to defeat the androids. This was a test to see how animated I can get with one full body asset facing forward. Also this helped with practicing timing with voicelines and such, and seeing how long I would have to keep phrases on the screen for.

Special Intro Animation:
This was a test with animating clothing with just assets, no additional animation for most of the clothing at least. I also got to make a SSJ aura which fits more closely with LR Trunks and Vegeta auras. This one had some issues with exporting the animation, such as a glow on the ground being in the middle ground instead of the foreground (I put a glow on top of the surface). But otherwise, yet another manga exclusive character animation transformation.

Just to note, this is not a teaser for the next animation or unit. This was something I made along the way with the Classic animations. It could potentially be the next animation, but it is not guaranteed.

But if it is, you will know which sprite is going to be used.

Hair Designs:
I put extra care into how I designed each hair for each character, more so to have characterization through that. For Future Gohan's SSJ2 hair, I simply just made it sharper and gave him 3 bangs. You can think of this more of him going in and out of SSJ1 and SSJ2. For Trunk's hair, I referenced more onto how DB Legends did his hair, so I went with a mix of Future Trunks SSJ hair and Kid Trunks SSJ hair. For the manga exclusive character, I made sure the hair was the same as the manga, as they are a bit different from Goku's typical SSJ hair.

Music Direction:
I simply matched the music to build up to the What-If moment, by Gohan knowing this fight may be his last, to Gohan determined to take down the Androids, which lead to the final bout between him and the Androids. Which ties in nicely through the era of Dokkan for Future Gohan as well.

That is all I have to say, I hope you enjoy!
