LRFFXIII Final Boss Bhunivelze 5 Stars ★★★★★ Tutorial (NORMAL)
21The final boss of Lightning Returns isnt that easy to deal with but can earn you an easy 5 stars if you follow the pattern i used in this video
Bhunivelze has 4 phases:
Phase 1. He will cast doom and hit you with his scythe and Almagest. Stagger him with Aero and Aerora and hit with artemis arrows; make sure to have deprotect as it helps alot
Phase 2. He will cast elemental attacks on you; for this one reason and another phase in the battle i equipped the 75 percent resistance hood and runic ring to reduce magical damage. This helps alot but is not necessary. Again staggering him here and dealing damage with artemis arrows is a necessity. Bhunivelze will also charge up a star in this mode and if you do not stagger him before he does it you will take massive damage, so staggering him before he drops the orb he is charging is a must.
Phase 3. He gains more HP and uses physical attacks. He gains ultima, which you may be familiar with if you played XIII and XIII-2, divine punishment which does ALOT of physical damage and Hypernova which can 1 shot you. All of these abilities can be perfect guarded to negate damage. Hypernova comes at any time so be prepared for it as you cannot do anything while he is casting it, kind of like Orphans sword attack from XIII and Jet Bahamuts Gigaflare from XIII-2.
Phase 4. Staggering him here is a must as it is the only way to deal damage. Save overclocks for this phase as they are necessary to stagger him. He is immune to all status ailments until staggered so after you stagger him use deprotect and attack with artemis arrows. He should go down after the 1st stagger. He also uses a move called heartless angel which if you are familiar with from previous FF titles, it will drop you down to 1 HP after it hits but it can be blocked easily.
