This Tutorial for the LTN92 Nav system, guides how to do an RNAV based SID. All major airports and airliners use SID's, and almost all of them are now RNAV based. While this is a doddle using FMC's and MCDU's, it wasn't possible with INS (civa) only. All that changed with the LTN-92 systems, and with a bit of effort, this is not only possible, but rewarding and fun to fly accurately.

Vatsim controllers during busy times will insist on RNAV/SID (IFR) traffic only, and refuse other traffic until the busy times are over. The 747-200 would likely be subject to such a delay, unless one "cheated" with a modern FMC. No more. Felis has done a great job with the 747 classic, and the recent addition of the LTN-92.
