The Floating Colosseum is a location in the underground where you fight several Lynels in a row. A wonderful spot to farm their materials after each bloodmoon.

Now you might be wondering: Why is my sword doing this crazy amount of damage? A Red Lynel has 2000 hp, and, my sword was shown as doing 190 damage per hit (+30% from Fierce Deity armor set = 247 damage). So how was I destroying its 2000 hp in 4 hits? 4 Hits with the damage should have been about 988 damage.

Royal Guard Weapons double their damage (and the fuse material) once they are about to break. That is, when the message shows up that they are about to break. However. I myself was intrigued and went in fighting Lynels with such a Royal Guard weapon that got close to breaking. But I still had to mount the Red Lynel at the beginning twice in order to defeat it.

Well, I accidentally damaged the Royal Guard Weapon further. And apparently, this increases the effective weapon damage even further, but does not update the displayed damage numbers.

I damaged the sword so much, it would only take a single mistake, a single accidental hit or jump attack to break it. But it is at this stage, that the sword deals this insane amount of damage. And since, while on Lynel back, weapons take no durability damage, it's the perfect Lynel Killer. I think the effective weapon damage is somewhere around 550, judging from the Red Lynels visual healthbar percentage, but I'm not sure about the math behind it due to the lack of displayed numbers.

Have fun.
