MAAR development team suffers 2 tremendous losses
68It is with great sadness that I need to tell you of 2 losses the MAAR story development team has suffered in 2022. Earlier in the year, Dr Midnite passed away. He was an OG story developer for MAAR and well versed in the golden era of comics. He helped the team remain grounded in the roots of Marvel characters ensuring the we would be introduced to more than just new, post 2000s characters and give some love to all the originals.
Aside from Dr. Midnite, the development team sadly lost their lead, lynchpin and anchor point for all things story and plot related. BlackMax aka Michael Tuck sadly lost his battle with cancer. BM had been sick for several weeks and moving back and forth between being better and getting worse but tragically, the good days became more fleeting. His wife and him were extremely kind to animals often taking care of those who would languish in adoption centers. We share a love for cats and both knew the sting of losing well loved pets. I cannot begin to imagine the heartbreak his wife and family feel and how upset the members of the writing team must be. I ask you keep all of them in your thoughts and to please be supportive of the development staff on the MAAR project as they adjust to these new times without their main focal point and coach.
