Guess what's coming in April to all consoles and PCs??!
8Oh man. It's been rumored for a bit but it is now definitely coming in April of this year. Square got wise to the fans and has decided to give Chrono Cross the remake treatment. But will it all come up roses or not?
Hearing the old music of course hits you right in the feels. Chrono Cross' soundtrack was one of the most emotive of any RPG soundtrack ever. From the way that it played with the themes from Chrono Trigger to the ending song of Unstolen Jewel to the coy, playfulness of Star Stealing Girl. With its universe hopping, 32 character recruiting plot...the game checks an amazing amount of boxes for me as one of the best RPGs of all time. Will the remake muster up? I bet it will but some of the early screenshots leave the upsampling as something to be desired. Maybe Square will catch the feedback in time to generate a truly epic remake...maybe we'll just have to do a lot of toggling back and forth. Who knows? I for one am excited!
