Macbook pro 2011 plugged in but not charging - water damage
#macbookpro #battery #waterspill
This is just experience sharing macbook pro early 2011 - was completely soaked / submerged in the water during flood. Fortunately it can be salvaged except the battery now completely dead. Despite of the magsafe charger light showing constantly green and the taskbar shows it is plugged in but the battery level constantly 1% available.
After test exchanging it with another battery - it turns out the battery is dead. Probably the battery circuit is faulty due to short circuit or the battery itself was damaged. It is completely no point to pry open the battery casing because it will end up broken and there is no way to put it back in.
