Of all the battles in Story Mode, this was the hardest to beat with Command Girl. I have no ally, so all of the enemies' fire is directed at me. One of the biggest threats is Proto Eagle. His Eagle Buster does quite a bit of damage and is difficult to dodge. You can avoid it if you dodge immediately after he initiates the attack, but this is easier said than done in the thick of battle. Rather than waiting for an Eagle Buster and trying to react to it, I find that it's sometimes better to dodge rapidly in anticipation of one. The first Proto Eagle is more dangerous because he's right at the beginning of the battle (so my hyper meter is empty). By the time the second Proto Eagle comes out, the meter is full, so I can take out most or all of his health in hyper mode. Also, by damaging Victory Jet and Victory Tank evenly and then killing them at about the same time, I can isolate the second Proto Eagle, which makes him easier to fight.

Once the Proto Eagles are gone, there are four more enemies: Proto King, Proto Panther, Proto Atlas, and Proto Mars. The first two spawn at the same time, then Proto Atlas spawns when one of them is killed, then Proto Mars spawns when one of the remaining borgs is killed. Thus, I have to fight two borgs at a time until only one of four is left. Since Proto Panther is the easiest to deal with, my plan was to keep him alive (but chip away at his health) while I fought Proto King and Proto Atlas. Then I would kill him as soon as Proto Mars came out. Proto Mars is the deadliest, so I want to focus all my attention on him. Unfortunately, I accidentally killed Proto Panther before Proto Atlas, so I had to fight Proto Mars and Proto Atlas (the two toughest borgs in the final four) at the same time. But with hyper mode, I managed to finish off Proto Atlas pretty quickly, leaving Proto Mars by himself. It was an intense duel, but I held out and emerged victorious.
