In my last video, I presented a challenge for the Trial of the Sword in normal mode:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9a2jdX89W0

Afterward, I played through Master Mode and did the challenge in that mode. I followed the same rules as last time, plus I added an extra rule (no treasure chests) to compensate for the extra weapons in Master Mode.

The challenge is to beat part 3 of the Trial of the Sword under the following conditions:

* Start the trial without any status effects (i.e. extra hearts, extra stamina, and timed effects).
* Don't use healing items.
* Don't use armor.
* Don't use shields.
* Don't use special arrows (i.e. any arrows other than regular arrows).
* Don't use the fire weapons (i.e. the Flamespear and Meteor Rod) or bring them out of the levels in which they're found.
* Don't use the Bomb or Stasis runes.
* Don't open treasure chests or otherwise obtain their contents.
* Destroy all enemies.

With no armor to protect you from the heat and no fire weapons to protect you from the cold, you'll have to move quickly and carefully to avoid being killed by the elements. The enemies will also pose a challenge since you won't be able to kill them instantly with Ancient Arrows or defend against them with shields or Stasis. Figuring out strategies to stay alive is part of the fun, so if you want to do the challenge, I encourage you to try it without watching this video or reading the comments below (where I describe some of my strategies).

Below are some comments for each part of the trial. For levels that are very similar between normal mode and Master Mode, I didn't write detailed comments here, so refer to the description of my normal mode video.

-----Lightning Levels-----

The lightning levels are almost identical between normal and Master. These levels are pretty easy and boring, so you may want to skip ahead to the fire levels, which start at 8:38.

-----Fire Levels-----

The fire levels are very similar between normal and Master. However, since I banned treasure chests in Master, I have no access to non-wooden bows until the fourth fire level. So, I have to be careful to put my wooden bows away when I'm done with them or else they'll burn up.

Level 3: I pick up another Royal Guard's Sword here. I also pick up an Iron Sledgehammer, which is important for killing the Ice Pebblits later on.

Level 4: This is the hardest level in normal mode and is still one of the hardest in Master Mode. However, I found a pretty good strategy where I throw a spear at the second Moblin to knock him down, then take away his weapon with the Thunderblade.

-----Snow Levels-----

The snow levels are where the greatest difficulty increase from normal to Master is seen. Most of the enemies are upgraded. In particular, most Blue Bokoblins (which can be killed with a single headshot) are replaced with Black Bokoblins (which take much longer to kill). I had to adjust my strategies quite a bit to beat these levels consistently.

Level 1: The Chu Chu's upgrade actually helps you because it creates a larger explosion, allowing you to freeze one or two Bokoblins. This time, two of them froze, so I was able to fight the Bokoblins one at a time.

Level 2: The Golden Moblin recovers health quickly, so I need to keep up the pressure to avoid losing ground in the battle.

Level 3: One of the hardest levels. Whereas it's easy to neutralize the Blue Bokoblins in normal mode, the Black Bokoblins here are tougher to deal with. And if you don't finish off the Wizzrobe quickly, he can deal quite a bit of damage and put out the fire. A Bokoblin almost killed me near the beginning, but I managed to survive.

Level 5: The Lynel's upgrade is useful because the White-Maned Lynel does his fire bomb attack right off the bat, allowing you to light some wooden weapons and stay warm. From then on, I have to keep the burning weapons in mind since they'll burn up after a minute. When I think one is going to burn up soon, I start a new fire, then put the old one out.

-----Grass Levels-----

In levels 2-5, the Guardians start recovering health very quickly after taking damage, so I have to keep hitting them to prevent them from regaining too much health.

Level 5: The Bokoblins and Lynel are upgraded, but my basic strategy is the same: Use the Lynel's fire bomb to kill most of the Bokoblins, pick off the remaining ones with the bow, then get far away from the turret so I can kill the Lynel safely. This strategy worked exactly how I wanted. I had tons of arrows left, so the Lynel was easy to kill.

-----------------

This challenge is definitely harder in Master Mode due to the upgraded enemies and regenerating health. However, as in normal mode, I think the challenge is still accessible; I didn't want to make it so difficult that hardly anyone could do it. I finished with 10.5 hearts, so there is plenty of room for error.
