A journey through a rather buggy beta sewer level. Shows glimpses of the loot systems. We're revamping some stuff right now, so things are in disarray.

Here's how the loot in Mage Dungeon works. You start each game with your default weapon, armor, and trinket. Different classes get different items for these slots, like the Mage gets a staff, robe, and book. When you find a forge, you are able to upgrade one of these slots to a new version.

You always get two choices, out of a possible five or six. An example is being able to pick between a sword that has a new special move, or one that has the same special as your default, but has a chance to apply a destructive bonus effect. Each forge you find will let you upgrade one of your equipment slots, and you can upgrade each slot twice per game.

Besides forges, there are also chests, item urns, and pet cages. The pets that provide a bonus return from Mage Gauntlet, though now you have to find them in the dungeon. Chests can contain gold, a gem, or a collectible item. Completing sets of collectibles unlock permanent bonuses to all your characters. Item urns are like the spell urns in Mage Gauntlet, they can drop one-use items or charges for your abilities.

Besides forges, gold chests, gem chests, collectible chests, item urns, and pets, there's also altars, shopkeepers, and monster hat drops. So, lots of stuff to find in the dungeons.
