A colorful (and, to our great relief, not at all similar to Bubsy) 2D platformer that seems for all the world worthy of an old school console release, but to our knowledge never made the grade. In fact, per our research, this thing was apparently only ever released in Japan and Europe! So THAT’S why we’ve never heard of it! No, really, this is a testament to the amorality of our universe, devoid of justice and deigned to thrive on pain: this is clearly the game that should have gotten two sequels and a small footnote in the annals of gaming history, not that inept lookalike, Bubsy. Sure, it’s not the very most memorable game ever made, but it features a winsome premise of a lone cat’s bold foray into the multitudinal layers of Cat Hell, as evidenced by the staple features derived from Dante’s famed odyssey: icey demon holes, ironic punishments catered to various sins, and stygian depths. We can’t stop on this one! We got at LEAST a week of this ahead of us!
