MagicMaker might look like one of these cheap flashgames, but it got it's value. What is it about. Well aside the Story, you start your journey as magician, by collecting spells that you get from treasure chests or from defeated enemies. That doesn't sound like much yet, but you can combine these spells to create a new spell which got the ability of both spells now.
As example one of your first spells is the fireball, which damages the enemy and does burn damage from 5 seconds, combined with a drill rock this fire ball can now pass through the landscape for some time. Or you combine that fireball with a multishot, to shoot 3 smaller balls. This isn't enough? Okay then what about a Fireball that gets split into 3 and is homing for the enemies. Yeah thats possible. The further you get in the game, the crazier these combinations can become.
Each time you go into a level the layout of it will change, so that you don't play the same level/rooms over and over, it just got the same look to it.

I already played through this games some years ago, so i already have a idea what to do, but even i missed the point that i shouldve destroyed the ghost with the Prism Spell (which lights up the darkness). So i played the same level again and fulfilled all missions. Since i collected new spells throughout my first run, my second run was done way more quickly than before.

The game is much about experimenting around with these spell cards, as far as i remember, you later can add more spellcards to a spell, but for now it's just three.
