Cyber Shadow is a Ninja Gaiden like game. While you can only move, jump and attack at the start of the game, you gain new abilities after defeating certain bosses. So all starts quite simple and the further you get, the more complex your moveset become.

So from the story, you see at the beginning of the game, how your protagonist died in a explosion, but get reawakened in a mechanical body. I'm not sure yet, how much of the human body is left, but this is your life now. You got reawakened early by a small robot, who tells that your clan needs your help. So you make yourself on the way through the levels. You have a healthbar which can be increased by defeating bosses and by collecting 3 Life cores, which are usually well hidden. As soon as you get your first ability (ninja stars) you also get a blue energy bar. Using your skills, uses up your energy bar and if it's depleated, you can only use a weak version of that skill.
You don't have lifes, but the game is still challenging, because if you die, you start at your last checkpoint and the boss fights shouldn't be taken too lightly. There are also insta-death areas, but so far the game was still fair (except that last boss fight in this video ;o)
