Mailstrom - Gameplay on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48k
A quick gameplay of Mailstrom on the 48k Speccy! :)

Given away free with the September 1989 issue of Sinclair User magazine (Issue 90 - Dynamite Dux cover!), I actually owned this before I got my Spectrum! A day or two later I had convinced my mother that I needed a +2A now as it would be a waste owning the game without the machine to play it on! My kid-logic won, and she came trundling up the road with a rather large box that was supposed to be my Christmas present! Needless to say, it was out of the box long before Christmas!!
The game itself is a nice introduction to the weirdness that Speccy gaming could feature, as you take on the role of Michael Nasty, Post-Apocalyptic Postman as he tries to deliver the mail if it's the last thing he does! To help, he has his trusty Special Knowledge and Information Terminal (S.K.I.T.) infused Post van.....
So you fill up the van with sacks you nab from postboxes you open by whatever means you can find, take them to the sorting office and collect any letters from the "Out" bay, and then deliver these letters whilst avoiding the thugs and nasty sorts that lurk outside, remembering to collect more sacks along the way.
It's showing its age a bit, but it's still quirky enough to be fun..and for me it has the added extra of some fond nostalgia!
