It's the main engineering and for the most part the level geometry and progression is about the same. What is not the same is all those pain elementals! If I didn't know the invulnerability secret, my chances of surviving the pain elemental ambush would be slim haha. It makes me wonder if at some point, the pain elementals behaved more like the Doom 2 ones and were much weaker. It would explain why they spawned 5 of them in an ambush as the player would have had a better chance against them. Of course there are Barons at the end too; this is becoming a theme of Doom 64 Alpha haha.
