Story : Make A Break For It
The game starts with a cinematic showing Jason Brody on vacation with a group of friends in Bangkok celebrating Jason's younger brother Riley on getting a pilot license. As part of the vacation they decide to take a skydiving trip. They land on a pirate-infested island, and are taken prisoner by a pirate lord named Vaas.
Make A Break For It is the first Mission in Far Cry 3 and follows the events which happened immediately after Jason and his friends arrived at Rook Island. After a short cutscene which shows Jason and his friends alive and enjoying their trip, Jason finds himself tied up in a cage with his older brother, Grant.
Vaas shows up, displays his knowledge of the entire group of friends, and takes off to eliminate captives not worth enough in ransom beneath the orders of Hoyt Volker. Grant ends up killing a guard, unlocking the door to the cage you two were locked up in, and this is where the gameplay begins.
