Make FM Active Antenna
159this simple FM active antenna actually a whip (telescopic) antenna followed with simple FM signal preamp. the circuit is based from circuit that popular in internet known as a AM/SW/FM active antenna, you can easily found, if search it on Google.
im only modified slightly, the circuit use acive componentt JFET VHF amplifier MPF102 to boost radio signal. it can use 9V DC supply to work, a 6F22 battery type, or 2x Li-Ion 18650 battery in series connection (+/- 8.4 Volt). use 2x Li-Ion in series is recommended. if a power supply is used, bypass the power supply with a 0.04 uF capacitor to prevent noise pickup.

my design as shown on video, the active antenna is work for both 50 ohm input type antenna receiver and telescopic whip input type antenna receiver. this circuit is designed to be used on receivers such as inexpensive units and car radios.
Make FM active antenna almost nearly same with make signal Booster (DIY FM Preamplifier) but add with some simple Fm antenna. this FM active antenna will improve the performance and reception of your FM Radio receiver or FM Tuner. adding this active antenna can improve signal quality from distant FM station and easily outperform the built-in telescopic whip antenna performance or stock antenna, even in indoor, inside cars, or use in home.
in video above, i use transistor MPF102 as active component.
in video test, you can see my radio can receive improved signal from +/- 130 km away, station Suara Surabaya (SS) FM 100 MHz Surabaya. this indoor FM active antenna is work well on entire FM spectrum.
