This one turned out interestingly.. bad 😅, but I still wanted to release the video for those who want inspo/ want to fix it. The red peppers seeped so much water into the quiche potato filling and made a watery layer inbetween 🤨 I tried patting the peppers dry before cooking but they are 92% water (via google) so it was unavoidable 🧐

Prototype Dungeon Meshi Pie v2
Batter
- 4 cups mashed potato, room temp
- 1 cup cream, room temp
- 4 eggs well beaten, room temp
- 2 tablespoon melted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
*For the purpose of the video I separated the egg whites and egg yolks, the egg whites mimicked “scorpion slime” in the video
*I wasn’t recording I would just beat the eggs together well until no egg whites are found and add into the batter
1. Mix the batter until fully combined
2. Pour into Red Pepper pan (Veggie prep step 4)
3. Bake in oven 375F for 25-30 minutes until bubbling
4. Top with colorful tomatoes and chestnuts (or sub for caramelized onions)
5. Bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until Veggie toppings have slightly browned, and batter has turned golden and solid, with a slight jiggle
6. Remove from oven and let cool to room temperature before cutting, this will allow the pie to set and become solid enough to cut
