Making Golden Nesting Dragon Eggs - Amazing Metal Casting Process
624In this video I will be casting a pair of golden nesting dragon eggs. This project was inspired from the Russian nesting dolls that most of you have seen. I started by 3d printing the dragon eggs using polycast castable filament. I made a mold of the eggs using investment plaster and then burned out the filament. I melted down some aluminum bronze and poured the molten metal into the molds. I then sanded and polished the eggs. The eggs now fit inside each other and are screwable to open and close.
