Male to Female Voice Training 01: FoMR
This video focuses on the very first step of my voice, which comes in 5 parts. Floor of Mouth Release (FoMR) focuses on using air and relaxing the throat to prevent contractions from occurring on the underside of your tongue. This is what some people describe as "whispering, but loudly" and shows the difference between an actual whisper, and FoMR done correctly.
Your voice should soften, as well as become lighter and airier without having to lose projection or loudness. Focus on the feeling of the contractions and learn to identify and relax the tongue and throat to remove them.
There are no specific words or phrases for this one to train on. Any words will do. Pick sounds that cause contractions, or pick a paragraph and read loudly.
