Cyble Research & Intelligence Labs (CRIL) has discovered a new Android botnet called DAAM, which is distributed through Trojanized applications. This botnet has many malicious features, including a keylogger, ransomware, VOIP call recordings, executing code at runtime, collecting browser history, recording incoming calls, stealing PII data, opening phishing URLs, capturing photos, stealing clipboard data, and switching WiFi and Data status. Hence, Android users are advised to download apps from reputable sources, keep their devices updated, and use reliable antivirus software to protect against such attacks.
