Bing Maps and Cortana Source Codes Leaked #cybersecuritynews #databreach
The recent security breach by the infamous hacking group, Medusa, has compromised the safety of major organizations. Bing Maps and Cortana source codes leaked by the threat actor, estimated to be around 12GB, are believed to be a subset of the 37GB leak that occurred in 2022 by Lapsus.
Medusa announced the leak on their website, inviting coders to explore the exposed data. This occurrence has underscored the importance of data security and necessitates proactive measures by individuals and organizations alike to safeguard their valuable data.
In a data dump posted last year, Lapsus$ proclaimed to have obtained 90% of Bing’s source code, as well as approximately 45% of the source codes for Bing Maps and Cortana, resulting in one of the most significant data breaches.
